When I was in Michigan a couple weeks ago, I busted out some of my old CDs to listen to on my drive to see Kyle at Oakland University. Most of them were unlabeled mixes that I’d made during the last summer, but amidst all the unknown albums I found “Rockin’ the Suburbs”. It’s pretty old as far as Ben Folds albums go, but I hadn’t heard it in ages and so I put it in. It was at that moment that I remembered how much I used to LOVE Ben Folds & his music.
I have a thing for musicians and nearly EVERY boy I’ve ever liked has been really into Ben Folds, which is kind of how I got indivoduced to his music. The whole time I was at home all I listened to was “Rockin’ the Suburbs” and it was so nice to drive around, with the windows down, blasting it. Plus, I’ve always had this crush on Ben Folds. He’s way old and married, but still, he’s cute in that geeky, musician kind of way.
“Annie Waits” is definitely my favorite song off the album. My best friend Nick used to play it all the time and I would do the little clap-y part, which is about all the musical talent I possess. So after re-discovering my mad love for Ben Folds, I started to wonder what other music I’d forgotten about (besides Sum41 and Blink182 circa What’s My Age Again? which I’ll never forget about). So I gotta ask, what music did you used to love that’s been pushed to the back of your mind? Give me some suggestions, jog my memory! Remind me how awesome music used to be pre-my obsession w/ the Jonas Brothers!

Happy Monday to ya! Thanks to a recent mention in Entertainment Weekly we have been inundated with calls and emails about this great Jack BB Dakota jacket worn by Bella in “Twilight”. (Did anybody get that collector’s edition DVD set that came out about two weeks ago?) Hey Gisele, your peace sign is pretty funny… Considering your security guards shot at some paparazzi this weekend. That’s right, the “most beautiful woman in the world,” supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her hunk hubz, NFL star Tom Brady were in Costa Rica this weekend getting re-hitched (the couple initially got married in Feb in Santa Monica) when the shots were fired. Some paps had snapped photos of the wedding but Gizzy and Tom has already granted an exclusive to a Brazilian Mag, so when the paps refused to hand over the pics, the guards “frog marched” on the vehicles and opened fire. No one was harmed, thank gawd, but the windshield of the photographer’s car was shattered by a .38mm shell, ! I know the papz are crazy, but srsly Gisele, bullets?!? I think we all need to back the eff down! WORLD PEACE!
I can’t even believe it… Right smack dab in the middle of the Heartland, the state of Iowa UNANIMOUSLY goes and approves Gay Marriage, becoming the 3rd state in the nation to do so! Iowa has no residency requirements, so anyone can divek out to the Hawkeye State to get hitched. This is so ahmahazing… One drip that’s sure to open the flood gates, I hope! Hey Keith, whatya doin’ this weekend?!? EQUALITY & HAPPINESS FOR ALL!

Well, if you live under a rock or something, maybe you wouldn’t know how totes obsessed I am about Madonna! Whether it’s her new single, cheek implants or ribbon lifts… I’m glued to my girl. Last week she was in Malawi in an effort to adopt her 2nd Malawian child, 3 year old Mercy James. Well, Her Madgesty was DENIED! The court officials wouldn’t let it slide this time that she hadn’t lived in the coundivy continuously for 18-24 months. I don’t know much about adoption procedures, but that seems a bit harsh?
My newest obsession… JJ Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek flick… And it’s hawt dude stars, Chris Pine (as Admiral James T Kirk) and Zachary Quinto (as Spock). Check out the hunksters going for an afternoon jog in Sydney Ausdivalia! The boys are in town for the Sydney premiere of the film at the Sydney Opera House. Oh, those boys are fit to be tied… Up!

While my son Keith and I were basking in the balmy Key West weather last weekend my other son Kevin was part of a sandbagging operation in Fargo, North Dakota. Keith and I checked in with him every day to make sure he was safe… and dry. Well, he was, although the Red River had become a giant lake, most businesses and schools were closed, and life was anything but normal. See for yourself.
I’ve been stuck at the airport, for what seems like DAYS! But, it has given me some time to shop… On fredflare.com! I’m rolling on 28% battery and, so help me God, I’m makin’ the most of it! I’m totally obsessed with the above outfit, so much so, that I’ve actually photoshopped the pics onto an old pic of myself… I will spare you the visual.
